Errors encountered performing a NIM installation of a fileset

The following error was generated when attempting to install a fileset from the NIM server

0042-001 nimclient: processing error encountered on "master":
0042-001 nim: processing error encountered on "master":
0042-006 m_showres: (From_Master) connect A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.

hostA: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.

0042-231 c_sm_nim:  Unable to generate the formatted list of software to install.

The NIM software depository could be mounted onto the local host, however on futher investigated it was found that the NIM service handler (nimsh) was not running as there was no output from ps -ef | grep nim

On a working server the output of ps -ef | grep nim displayed the following process /usr/sbin/nimsh -s

The process was started using the command startsrc -s'nimsh'; it can also be started from smitty

The fileset then installed successfully
