Running hardware diagnostics on a Sunfire V490 and other similar Sun servers

The server needs to be at the OpenBoot ok prompt before continuing with this procedure.

If performing this procedure remotely login to the RSC then login to the console by typing console

rsc> console
{3} ok

If you are unable to access the console then it is possible to reboot the rsc by typing resetrsc at the rsc prompt

rsc> resetrsc

It is easiest to run the OpenBoot diagnostics tests interactively from a menu. To access the menu type obdiag at the ok prompt

{3} ok obdiag
